Adrenal antibodies are markers for idiopathic Addison’s disease and serve to identify those at risk of developing this disease, particularly in patients with organ specific autoimmune diseases including hypoparathyroidism, thyroid disease, insulin dependent diabetes, pernicious anemia and gonadal insufficiency.
